I’ve been waiting a long, long time to meet this little one!
Well, Eden is turning 1, even if the weather is freezing cold and rainy. So Eden’s mom and I changed our plans and went into the studio for a session with Eden in her gorgeous Easter dress.
And you know how I have such great appreciation for the moms and dads that are willing to really work to get the smiles? Well this mom and dad get a gold star for all their hard work!
And then we got our cue… we’re done.
Can’t wait to work with this family again for their outdoor family session!
I met Andrew when he was just a few days old. I can’t believe how much he’s grown! And his hair, OH his hair! It is off-the-charts adorable. Also, meet Cole, a little fireball who has enough personality to share with an army! Sometimes I like to show a few pictures that give a hint as to how our session went, and I have a few that will make you giggle.
Try as we might to get a picture of the two boys with momma…Cole kept getting away!
Notice the hand under the last shot, pinning him down. haHAA! He made me laugh! Now on to the highlights:
These kiddos were so much fun!
Danie is my son’s best friend, although if I showed you ALL of the pictures of them together you’d see that SunDrops were involved in a bribe to get them within my frame at the same time. Anyway, back to Danie- she loves having her picture taken. After each series of clicks, she runs over and says “Ka’I see?” She’s at that perfect age where all-things-girl are taking over! She loves the color pink, dancing like a ballerina, giving hugs, wearing tutus, making pretend cupcakes…gosh, those were the days! Happy Birthday, beautiful girl, I love you!
Wow, that was lame. I’m almost embarrassed. I just can’t help myself sometimes. Anyway, meet the Jones’…plankers extraordinaire!
Pardon my old person phrase for just a moment, but this little girl was “as smart as a whip!” (Just exactly how smart IS a whip?) You’d never believe that she just turned 3! It took her a few minutes to warm up to me, but once she did she was so much fun! Ah, to be 3 again.
Motherhood is filled with so many bittersweet moments. I love to see his smile, and I love that he can have a conversation with me about things like what ingredients are in pancakes, and of course I’m overwhelmed with pride when I hear him reading words (after all, he just turned 4!), and it’s so satisfying when I see him make a good decision all on his own…and yet…I miss the newborn moments that I was too tired to enjoy, I can barely remember his 6-month-old giggle, and oh how I long for the days when he didn’t challenge me! Like I said, it’s all bittersweet. Anyway, my little boy turned 4 over the winter and we finally got around to his pictures this past week.
